In the Year 1969, I wrote an “ Income Tax Inspector’s ” Competitive Test, and passed through! And, I joined The Income Tax Department as an “ Inspector”!
I was Posted in “ TENALI ” ! The Year “ 1970 ” ! First job of my life ! Lot of self-respect ! I was earning money! I had my own pocket money! My operational area consisted of two Taluks : ① Tenali ② Repalle
I worked in the Department for ten months! In those ten months, I had to visit many villages; study their returns .. for “ Wealth Tax ”,
“Gift Tax ” etc I had also participated in a few income tax raids ! I had learnt so much from my colleagues: the other two Inspectors of Income Tax: ① Mr NV Subramanyam and ② Bheemasena Rao. They were very senior and I was just a boy! My age was 22!
My mother came and stayed with me for two months! At that time, we put our father, in a “ MENTAL HOME ” at “ Yerragadda ” in Hyderabad! Happy for my mother, sad for my father!
At the end of 1970, I resigned to the job of income tax inspector! Back to Hyderabad!
