Year 1975, I joined Coromandel Fertilizers Ltd,
as an Assistant Sales Promotion Officer
and Posted in Kurnool ..
Year 1974, I first went to Kurnool for a day.
JUNE 5th 1975, I was in Kurnool.
“KURNOOL” is the Home Place of “Dr. Pinakapani Garu”
The moment I was Posted in Kurnool,
I was very excited, as I could see
the Great Doyen of Carnatic Music
in Andhra Pradesh !
JUNE 15th, 1975..
He took me under his WINGS..
and for three years.. from 1975 to 1978..
I learnt many Keertans and technicalities:
He trained Masters like..
1. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana Garu
2. Volati Venkateshwarlu Garu
3. Nedunuri Krishnamurti Garu
4. Srirangam Gopalaratnam Garu
.. all stalwarts!
And, I also happened to be his student!
I could apply his vocal style in my “Flute” !
His whole family became my family!
A few years back, Pinakapani garu, in Kurnool,
left his body, at the ripe age of 100!
I could also cultivate my “vocal cords”
because of The Two Masters..Chandrasekaran and Sripada
Now, I can sing too!
